I tested out this trimmer head on a new Kawasawki string trimmer. It was easy to install the head on the new trimmer. I found this head to be the easiest head to re-load with line and to advance the line with a gentle tap. The head would feed when tapped even on soft grass.
I use my string trimmer to edge the majority of the time even though I have a stick edger. This head self cleans both sand and grass from the internal line spool. The line guides are very good for this application and appear to be replacable.
The only dis-advantage I found was line consumption. Since I use my equipment commercially, this would be an issue for me. However, for a home owner this would not be a problem. I found most home owners buy a pre-strung spools because it is too complicated to rewing their existing spool. With this trimmer head, you just insert the right length of line and wind it like a clock. It is impossible to screw it up. With this in mind, I would strongly reccommend this trimmer head for home owners and small commercial users...
